Dan RiiS Grife has been active for over 30 years. He has exhibited his work internationally through several solo and group exhibitions. His latest body of work has been praised as truly inspirational and thought provoking. The Legends of Tanakh group of work has been shown in solo exhibitions in Houston, Austin and throughout Central Texas. He began the series while still living in New Mexico where his Mezuzot were widely received and collected across the United States. His limited edition hand made books are collected by universities, dealers and libraries across the nation. He received his BFA from the University of New Mexico where he focused on printmaking. At this time he mastered the craft of intaglio printmaking. His work has always reflected the broader cultures that continue to influence his work. His Ghost Series received the highest praise at the first ever Magnifico exhibition in New Mexico. His later work based on the Day of the Dead was featured in solo and group shows in Santa Fe and across the Southwest.
He is currently working on a new series of that will culminate in his third hand made limited edition book.

Museum credits include Spertus Museum in Chicago, The New York Museum at Hebrew Union, and the Kansas City Jewish Museum. He is a member of the American Guild of Judaic Art and is listed at the Religious Fine Arts Council of the Catholic Diocese of Austin.
